Alsadat et al. [54] Reduced ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) rate for all mechanically ventilated patients. It was found that VAP bundle compliance rate was gradually increased in all the hospitals. No data was available for hospital 4 as the VAP bundle was not applied in it. Only hospital 3 had achieved a target of 95%. The suggested multidimensional strategy from top management is needed in order to prevent VAP rate which included interventions for infection control, process monitoring and outcome surveillance.
