Characteristic Acceptability criteria
Bias and linearity In general, significantly equal to zero and not exceed the maximum permissible error established by the gage calibration procedure.
%GRR <10% tolerance (or process variation): Generally considered to be an acceptable measurement system.
  10–30% tolerance (or process variation): May be acceptable for some applications, but should be approved by the customer.
Number of distinct categories (ndc) Should be greater than or equal to 5.
